Woman Condemned

My local news stations are reporting that Christa Pike had an escape plan in the works with two men helping her. One was a pen pal turned bf and the other a smitten prison guard. Somebody turned rat and the authorities found out about it. The two men were arrested and Christa will be reprimanded.

Lisa Montgomery wanted a baby so badly that she befriended a woman only to strangle and cut the baby from her. She kept the baby girl for several days and tried to pass her off as her own before being apprehended. Is this a terrible tragedy? Hell yes, of course. Should Lisa Montgomery be punished? Absolutely. Does she belong on death row? No, and Ill tell you why.      Brenda Andrew is the only woman on Oklahoma death row. She is there for the murder of her husband by her and her boyfriend James Pavatt.      Brenda does not answer letters. It seems she may still have a bit of that pretentious attitude left over from her days as a respected deacons wife. Those days are over, hun.      There is no scheduled execution date for Brenda yet. Oklahoma lists its dates of execution for the prison she is in here .      Every time I read about this case I am utterly amazed at how stupid these two people were. She may as well have advertised their guilt on a billboard in front of the house. Both Andrew's and Pavatt's appeal were systematically denied without comment in 2008. Linda Carty's story of life on the row premiered last night on the ID channel. Linda's case is an interesting global controversy. She is accused of planning the murder of her neighbor for the unborn baby she was carrying and she has been sentenced to death. Her native Great Britain has tried on multiple occasions to persuade Texas to allow her to be extradited to her home country. This documentary by Werner Herzog shows her and her family and how they deal with whats happened and their side of the crimes. He also shows Linda's co-conspirators and their side of the story. They still claim that Linda was the mastermind of the murder.

I just found it today and from what I can gather from the spotty posts Kerry was wrongfully convicted on little to no physical evidence and only some shaky testimony from a meth head doped up during the interview. January of 2003, a waitress in Germany named Dagmar Polzin saw the picture of a convicted murderer while waiting at a bus stop in Hamburg. The photo was of Bobby Lee Harris, posted by an anti-death penalty group. Bobby Lee of North Carolina was on death row for stabbing his boss to death during a robbery. Polzin was profoundly influenced by the photo of Bobby Lee and fell in love that moment. Later she said: "It was something in his eyes; there was this remorse, the sadness. I was attracted and knew he was the one." In less than a year Polzin and Harris was engaged and she moved to North Carolina to live with his family. For many who read these words this story is astonishing; but if you saw the picture that Polzin fell in love with it would difficult to understand. We all know about famous serial killers throughout history. We may not know their stories, their cases, their lives or how they got where they ended up, but we certainly recognize their names.
